Essential Oils For Ailments

A

Acid Reflux - Rub Peppermint, Ginger or Cardamom oil over stomach as needed.

ADD/ADHD - Apply a few drops of Vetiver or Frankincense on forehead and back of neck; inhale a few drops from cupped hands.

Adrenal Fatigue - Massage 1-3 drops of Basil, Juniper Berry, Rosemary, Black Spruce or Peppermint onto lower back over adrenals, or inhale from cupped hands.

Alertness - Apply 1-2 drops of Peppermint, Frankincense, Basil or Rosemary to forehead, temples, or base of skull as needed; inhale a few drops from cupped hands

Seasonal/Pet Allergies - Apply 2-3 drops of Lavender or Peppermint to back of neck, on bridge of nose, or chest as needed or diffuse several drops

Alzheimer’s/Dementia - Massage 1-2 drops of Frankincense, Rosemary or Rose into scalp daily.

Anaemia - Apply 1-3 drops of Basil, Lemon or Lavender to bottoms of feet and inside of wrists; take a few drops internally; inhale from cupped hands periodically.

Anger - Apply 1-3 drops of Melissa or Magnolia to temples and chest; inhale a few drops from cupped hands as needed

Ankle Swelling - Massage ankles with 2-4 drops of Juniper Berry, Grapefruit or Lemongrass diluted with carrier oil.

Anorexia - Apply 1-3 drops of Grapefruit or Ginger to stomach area or inhale from cupped hands as needed.

Anxiety - Apply 1-3 drops of Lavender or Vetiver to bottoms of feet, chest, or temples, or inhale from cupped hands as needed.

Apathy - Apply 1-3 drops or Patchouli, Neroli, Peppermint or Ylang Ylang to bottoms of feet, chest, or temples, or inhale from cupped hands as needed. Also diffuse several drops.

Asthma - Apply 1-3 drops or Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Roman Chamomile or Lavender topically to chest, neck, under nose, and on bridge of nose, or inhale from cupped hands as needed.

Athlete’s Foot - Apply 1-3 drops of Tea Tree, Oregano, Lemon or Geranium to area between toes and around toenails 2-3x daily.

Autism/Asperger’s - Apply 1-3 drops of Frankincense, Rose or Cilantro to bottoms of feet and back of neck.

Autoimmune Disorders - Apply 1-3 drops of Frankincense to stomach, chest, bottoms of feet, or inside of wrists.

Back Pain - Apply 1-3 drops of Turmeric and massage into affected areas as needed.

Bacterial Infection - Apply 1-3 drops of Thyme, Tea Tree or Pink Pepper to affected areas as needed.

Balance Problems - Apply 1-3 drops of Basil, Peppermint or Ginger topically to forehead, temples, back of neck, and behind the ears or inhale from cupped hands.

Bed Wetting - Massage 2-4 drops of Ylang Ylang, Lemongrass, Black Pepper or Roman Chamomile over bladder and kidneys before bedtime.

Bee Sting - Apply 1-2 drops of Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Basil or Magnolia topically to sting or bite several times daily until symptoms cease.

Bipolar Disorder - Apply 1-3 drops of Frankincense, Melissa or Vetiver to bottoms of feet, chest, or temples, or inhale from cupped hands as needed.

Bladder Control - Apply 1-3 drops of Rosemary, Juniper Berry, Cypress or Sandalwood topically over bladder and kidneys as needed.

Blisters on feet - Apply a few drops of Lavender, Frankincense, Patchouli, Tea Tree or Myrrh topically to affected area.

Bloating - Apply 1-3 drops of Fennel, Ginger, Juniper Berry or Peppermint Ito stomach, rubbing in a clockwise direction.

Blood Clotting - Apply 1-3 drops of Peppermint or Ginger over affected area .

High Blood Pressure - Apply 2-4 drops of Marjoram, Lemon, Ylang Ylang or Jasmine to stomach, chest, bottoms of feet, or inside of wrists.

Low Blood Pressure - Apply 1-3 drops of Frankincense, Jasmine or Cedarwood to stomach, chest, bottoms of feet, or inside of wrists.

High Blood Sugar - Apply 2-4 drops of Coriander, Ginger or Cinnamon over pancreas and bottoms of feet daily.

Low Bloody Sugar - Apply 1-3 drops of Cinnamon, Melissa or Wild Orange to stomach, chest, bottoms of feet, or inside of wrists.

Body Odour - Apply 1-3 drops of Citronella, Tea Tree or Petitgrain on bottoms of feet.

Boils - Apply 1-3 drops of Tea Tree, Lavender or Bergamot topically to affected areas several times daily.

Brain Fog - Apply 1-3 drops of Peppermint, Frankincense, Lemon or Rosemary to forehead, temples, back of neck, and behind ears or inhale from cupped hands as needed.

Brain Injury - Apply a few drops of Frankincense, Cedarwood, or Sandalwood to forehead, temples, base of skull, and behind the ears. Diffuse several drops.

Brittle Nails - Apply 1-2 drops of Lemon or Frankincense to nail bed once daily.

Cancer - Diffuse several drops Frankincense, Sandalwood, Geranium

Candida - Apply 2-4 drops of Oregano, Thyme, Lemon Eucalyptus or Tea Tree over abdomen and bottoms of feet.

Cardiovascular Disease - Apply 2-4 drops of Geranium, Black Pepper, Coriander or Cypress over chest 3x daily.

Carpal Tunnel - Apply 2-4 drops of Lemongrass, Marjoram or Oregano to affected area several times daily. Massage with carrier oil or lotion for improved efficacy.

Cartilage Injury - Apply 1-3 drops of Lemongrass or Frankincense to affected area several times daily. Massage with carrier oil or lotion for improved efficacy.

Cellulite - Massage 4-8 drops of Grapefruit, Lemon, Juniper Berry or Cinnamon onto target areas daily, especially before exercising.

Chapped Skin - Apply a drop or two of Roman Chamomile, Yarrow, Cedarwood or Magnolia to affected area as often as needed.

Chicken Pox - Dilute 2-4 drops of Lavender, Thyme, Tea Tree or Melissa with a carrier oil and dab lightly on spots a couple times a day.

High Cholesterol - Apply 2-4 drops of Lemon or Rosemary to chest area, bottoms of feet, or inside of wrists.

Chronic Fatigue - Apply 2-4 drops of Lemon, Melissa or Basil to chest area, bottoms of feet, or inside of wrists; inhale 1-3 drops from cupped hands.

Chronic Pain - Apply 1-3 drops of Turmeric to affected areas as needed.

Poor Circulation - Apply 1-3 drops of Cypress, Ginger or Black Pepper to bottoms of feet.

Common Cold - Diffuse several drops of Oregano, Melissa or Thyme.

Cold Extremities - Apply 2-4 drops of Cypress, Black Pepper or Cinnamon to bottoms of feet, chest area, and inside of wrists.

Cold Sores - Dilute with carrier oil and apply a drop of Melissa, Tea Tree or Clove to affected area as needed.

Colic - Dilute 1-2 drops of Peppermint, Fennel, Neroli or Roman Chamomile with a carrier oil and apply topically to stomach and back before baby goes to sleep.

Concussion - Apply 2-4 drops of Frankincense, Bergamot, Cypress or Rosemary to forehead, temples, base of skull, and behind the ears; inhale 1-3 drops from cupped hand.

Congestion - Apply 1-3 drops of Lemon, Rosemary, Cardamom or Lime to back of neck, under nose, on bridge of nose, or chest; inhale 1-3 drops from cupped hands as needed.

Constipation - Massage 2-4 drops of Ginger, Celery Seed, Cilantro or Fennel over abdomen, moving in a clockwise fashion. Repeat as desired every 5-10 minutes as needed.

Cortisol (Heightened) - Apply 1-3 drops of Lavender, Basil, Bergamot, Marjoram, or Neroli to back of neck, under nose, on bridge of nose, or chest as needed; inhale from cupped hands.

Cough - Apply 1-3 drops of Rosemary, Peppermint, Lemon or Cardamom to chest, back of neck, under nose, or on bridge of nose, as needed; inhale from cupped hands.

Cramps - Massage 2-4 drops of Peppermint into affected areas as needed. Use with carrier oil to improve efficacy.

Croup - Dilute with carrier oil and apply 1-3 drops of Roman Chamomile, Lemon, Sandalwood or Wild Orange to baby’s chest and back as needed. Diffuse several drops.

Cuts - Dilute 1-2 drops of Tea Tree, Lavender, Myrrh or Cedarwood with a carrier oil and apply to affected area a couple times daily.

Cystic Fibrosis - Apply 1-3 drops of Frankincense, Eucalyptus or Tea Tree to chest and under nose; inhale from cupped hands as needed.

Cysts - Apply 2-4 drops of Oregano, Frankincense or Thyme to affected area 3x daily or as needed.
